The Saint and the Sinner is a creative documentary project for cinema and tv market. Emanuele Brunatto, was Padre Pio’s greatest defender in his most difficult moments. The journey of his son Francois with his body will be an opportunity to discover the complex figure of the one who was Padre Pio’s sword and shield, one of the most venerated saints of the Catholic Church in Italy. Padre Pio is one of the most beloved saints among the people but few know his story tormented by the persecutions of the Church itself. It is above all thanks to one person that Padre Pio was left free to preach: Emanuele Brunatto.
